Angular, layered mineral exposed within fractured ground.
The scanner note “Recently Formed” is preserved exactly as recorded. The apparent freshness of the exposed surface was not independently verified during the field survey.
Preliminary Geological Assessment
The specimen’s pale coloration and visible texture distinguish it from the adjacent exposed terrain. This supports treating Rimseite as a discrete mineral record within the Serene Basin catalogue.
Interpretations reflect the currently preserved field image and scanner record only and may be revised as additional evidence is authenticated.

- Whether the pale material continues below the visible surface.

Rimseite contributes one authenticated unknown-classified mineral record to the geological inventory of Serene Basin. Its preserved field appearance and scanner metadata support future comparison with specimens documented at other Ironleaf survey sites.
Preservation Justification
Retained as a scanner-verified specimen from Survey Site Alpha. Preservation supports later comparison of scanner classifications, visible morphology, and site distribution as the Ironleaf planetary survey expands.
