Preliminary Geological Assessment
The pale spiral spires and concentric growth bands are directly visible on the seabed. The scanner classifies the specimen as reductive boiling and records the note “Contains Dark Matter.” Those scanner observations were preserved exactly as recorded and were not independently tested during the survey.
Interpretations reflect the currently preserved field image and scanner record only and may be revised as additional evidence is authenticated.

- Whether the spiral spires are internally connected.
- Meaning and basis of the scanner note “Contains Dark Matter.”
- Whether the visible bands represent sequential growth or surface patterning.
- Occurrence of comparable formations beyond Pink Shoals.

Retained as a scanner-verified specimen from Survey Site Beta. Preservation supports later comparison of scanner classifications, visible morphology, and site distribution as the Ironleaf planetary survey expands.
